Somatic Survival Skills Toolkit

Empower Yourself.

Somatic refers to the innate intelligence of the body, as opposed to the mind. These practices support you in getting off the endless hamster wheel of thoughts to give time and attention to that which is NOT WRONG in any given moment.

The Somatic Survival Skills Toolkit is about learning how to access more of yourself than just thoughts so that you can experience more of yourself than just worry, conflict, or overwhelm.

The Somatic Survival Skills Toolkit is a sequence of practices that will put you in touch with everything you already are, everything you already have, and the things you need to get what you want.

In this toolkit, you will receive:

  • A five minute grounding practice to gradually teach your brain that it’s actually safe to stop (and also provide calm right now.)

  • A thirty minute movement practice to explore the way grief and other emotions live in the body and learn tools to make sure they don’t get stuck there.

  • A twenty minute expressive arts practice to explore the power of creativity when working with big emotions like anger.

Each of these practices informs and supports the others. Beginning with your five minute grounding practice, you will slowly expand your ability to notice what’s not wrong even when faced with conflict and heartache. This grounding cord will then empower you to go into your emotions with clarity and compassion.

By practicing these skills when you “don’t need them,” ie. on a random weekday, or when you scheduled in your self-care, you will deepen your capacity for not only knowing what you need, but communicating and receiving what you need in your relationships and in life.

I love this toolkit so much because it provides practices to meet you in the places most of us struggle to find support inside ourselves and in our relationships. By working with each practice, you will learn not only how to find support within, but how to effectively communicate with those around you to find more connection, safety, and authenticity in relationships.

“There is so much more to our existence than our mind and body and so much is unintentionally forgotten with the modern age, but through somatic work, I feel more whole as a person.”

Leslie

“I am learning through feeling, being witnessed and applied practices how to be with difficult feelings as well as building my capacity for pleasure, joy, deep love and acceptance of myself and others.”

I created Sacred Body to support women in overcoming the indoctrinated fear of their innate power in body, mind, and spirit. Through my own practice of Somatic Experiencing, Yoga and Ayurveda, and the mysterious work of attending birth and postpartum healing, I have developed an approach to working with women that has been life-changing for so many. I hope this Survival Kit supports you in knowing your power, living it, and experiencing the fullness of life with courage and creativity.
